TedTalk Completion
The creation of a Ted Talk based on our Genius Hour topic was a very cool idea. I definitely enjoyed making it and making it look fun. I will most definitely continue making them! They are so fun!

CLOSURE ACTIVITY (GH1)
1) Analysis of Activities
2) Genius Hour Blog/Vlog (Video Blog) Post #3
- Reflect on what you learned about your topic to this point
- My topic is on what our blood is made out of. After researching I have learned that there are 4 components that make up blood. These 4 components are: Plasma, Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells and Platelets.
- Reflect on what have you learned about yourself
- I have learned that I am indecisive. I have changed my Genius Hour topic two times and this is my third and final change.
- Every other topic I was interested in but found it would be too hard to come across the answer. With this new topic, I have always been interested in and finally have a strong understanding of what makes up our blood.
CLOSURE ACTIVITY (GH1)
1) Analysis of Activities
2) Genius Hour Blog/Vlog (Video Blog) Post #1
- Share your 'Genius Hour' question.
- My Question is What makes up our blood?
- Explain your goals for this project
- My goals for this project is to encourage others to wonder about things that they are interested in and curious about! I have come in contact with my blood many times growing up. I am accident prone and always seem to fall and hurt myself. I have never had a fall that was too serious but they all involved scrapping skin and producing blood. I always wondered what blood was made of, this has always intrigued me and what made it the colour that it is.
- Explain how you will measure your progress
- I will measure my progress by attempting to answer how blood is made and by also going above and beyond and acting as an educator that I will soon to be by asking my students a question. I would want them to come up with an experiment that shows how blood is made or at least showing all the different components in blood. As an educator I believe it is important to have the students demonstrate what they learned in a creative way, as it will show how much understanding and knowledge they have consumed from the task.

Copyright DG1 Badge
Learning about Copyright
I have learned that everything uploaded on the internet whether it be by other people all around the world or myself, we each carry rights to the distribution of our work. In order to use other peoples work we need to have their permission first and give credit to their work if we present it to our future students. I feel it would be most important to teach our students to give credit to the people who created, uploaded, and shared work for our educational benefit. I would teach them to acknowledge that we need to obtain permission to use other's work when we use it for projects. I would also explain to them that everything they post legally gives them the copyright to it because it was their own original idea. As well that it is not a good thing to take credit for someone else's hard earned work.
